The video presents documentation of the rationale and instructions for creating a Peer Ambassadors Program meant to help new students acclimate to their campus. An ambassador ideally shares the background of a multilingual, newcomer student and establishes a relationship with their incoming peer on their first day. The students share meals and establish relationships to create a sense of belonging for the incoming student. After facilitating the incoming student’s first day, the Peer Ambassador will have other “check-in” activities throughout the year to ensure a sustained sense of belonging.
