On this page you will find a walkthrough of a science lesson plan submitted for the “Working with Newcomers” Advanced Micro-credential. The authoring teacher designed this science lesson plan based on insights gathered from a student and parent home survey. This small group activity was adapted to students’ needs by allowing them to visually model their approach to the problem, as well as write out their reflection. The reflection questions were modified based on students’ proficiency level.
