Project ExcEL leverages and benefits from extraordinary community organizations and partners — including Latino U College Access.
Latino U College Access is dedicated to making college aspirations a reality for first-generation Latino students. Their mission is to increase college enrollment and completion among first-generation Latino youth by empowering students with the knowledge and support they need to successfully maneuver the college process.
Latino U promotes college enrollment among first-generation youth through advocacy, community education and student workshops that address the needs of students embarking on the pathway to college. The organization is committed to Latino high school students, their families, their schools and service providers who seek guidance as they tackle the incredibly complex process of college admission and financial aid. They also provide students with the tools and mentorship they need to succeed in college.
Financial aid and college application bootcamps are offered periodically in Ossining and Tarrytown for students and families. You can learn more about the organization and read about successful students (and role models!) at their website.
